Jae Kyun Park is an American lawyer working at McKenna, Long & Aldridge, LLP at San Diego.
He met his future wife, Kathy Yu, at University of San Diego School of Law. These two attorneys got married after one-year courtship and preparation.
They took honeymoon tour to Taiti, the fantastic island of Paul Gauguin.

When: Saturday, October 7, 2006
The wedding ceremony took place on the next day of the Autumnal Full Moon's (Korean Thanksgiving) Day, long holidays in Korea. So some relatives living in Seoul were able to participate in the ceremony.
Coincidentally, it was the tenth anniversary of the passing away of Jae's paternal grandfather.

On the previous day, there was the Wedding Rehearsal at the museum and the nearby hotel.

Where: Museum of Contemprory Art, La Jolla, California
The museum is famous for its ocean front location. La Jolla is rapidly developing surburb of San Diego, preferred as a good residential area by the rich.
The ceremony was designed to take place at the time of magnificent scenery of the "Californian Sunset".

Taking Pictures at the Seaside Park

Bride and Bridegroom, and their relatives and friends got together at the seaside park near the museum.
The weather was beautiful, and the temperature was pleasant. All participants enjoyed ocean breeze.
Ladies in traditional Korean dress were catching the eyes of American passers-by.










Wedding Ceremony at the Museum Balcony

The ceremony was presided over by a Roman Catholic father.
The procession of Bridegroom, parents, bridesmaids and groomsmen, and finally Bride with her father highlighted the ceremony.
Reading of the scripture the First Corinthian chapter 13 by Groom's sister, vows, exchange of rings, congratulatory song by Bride's relative were followed by the blessing of the father.
After the newly-wed couple's recession, all the participants went to the reception hall nearby.

Wedding Party at the Museum Lounge

At the museum lounge, tens of tables were prepared with nice dinner. Salad, lobster tail, fillet mignon and other dilicious dishes were served one after another.
During the dinner party, bridesmaids and groomsmen disclosed unforgettable and funny stories of Bride and Groom to the audience.
Finally the newly-wed couple danced for the first time to the music of "Moon River".
Also the dance of Bride with her father and that of Groom with his mother moved the congregation.
All of the friends and some participants went to the floor and danced to celebrate the wedding.
Outside of the museum, the full moon was shining in the sky.
